Prodatron's
CPC Productions

The following is a little collection of my scene productions for the Amstrad CPC. The CPC is an 8 bit machine with a 4 MHz Zilog Z80 CPU. I was active in the CPC Scene in the years 1992 and 1993. In this time I have released 6 demos, 3 partydemo-parts, several intros, 6 diskmag-issues, a musiktracker based on digital sound and several other small things. Everything was coded in 100% assembler. Without doubt the 8 bit age was the coolest computer-time I think! The following screen-shots only where possible with CPE2, the CPC-emulator by Bernd Schmidt (also author of UAE, the Amiga-emulator!). You can download my productions by clicking on the images. They are ziped DSK-files which can be read by nearly all CPC-emulators.
At the end of this page you find some CPC-releated links.

You can download the following things by clicking on the images!

Alpha Demo Screenshot My first three demos on CPC, written in the first monthes of 1992: 21.CENTURY DEMO (5 parts, software-effects), ADVANCED DEMO (2 parts, rasterbars) and ALPHA DEMO (5 parts, overscan). All code and most graphics where done by me. The sounds come from different games. The screenshot shows a Alpha Demo part.

In summer 1992 I wrote PRODATRON MEGADEMO, which was the biggest one man demo-production on CPC ever (2 disc sides; long time in the demo-top10). It contains intro-, menu-, turndisc- and copy-part, 6 main-parts and 2 cheat-parts. All code and graphics by me, the sounds where done by BSC, Crown and Kangaroo Musique, some other where converted from Atari ST or come from games. PDT Megademo Screenshot

Voyage 1993 Screenshot In the end of 1992 Alien and I started to code the VOYAGE 1993 DEMO. It contains intro-, turndisc- and menupart, 6 mainparts and a guestpart by Face Hugger. After its release in early summer of 1993 it was 1st in most of the demo-top10. Code and graphics by Alien and me, Sounds by Crown, Kangaroo Musique and me.

DIGITAL ORGASM was my last demo (contains 3 parts) and also my last production on Amstrad CPC. I wrote it at the end of 1993 and released it in 1994. Some guys said, these are the best demoparts ever released on CPC. It contains the first full animated part with 3 channel digisound, a part with 3D lissajous figures and a part with the new plasma scroller. All code by me, Graphics by MADE and me, Sounds by BSC. Digitracker CPC Screenshot In the second half of 1993 I wrote DIGITRACKER CPC, which was the first tracker on CPC, which based on 3 channel digitalsound. It contains a powerfull pattern- and sample-editor and can also convert Amiga-MODs. The external playerroutine generator, which allows to build in digisounds in own programs made this program to the testwinner in Amstrad Action 1-94. Today many use it still for listing to MODs on CPC.

During my time in the scene I was very active in the diskmag sector, too. I coded two different diskmag-systems and wrote also many articles for the 6 issues we released. Together with Leather Rebel I made the CPC-FASTLOADER. Later Hypnom joined us and we made the leading diskmag in articles and code, the X-TREME. Here you can download 4 issues of the CPC-Fastloader and 2 issues of the X-Treme. X-Treme Screenshot
